So / I was SO excited to get this . I ordered because it literally will be PERFECT for the space I have in my home . it arrived today (early, yay) and I excitedly got it inside and opened it up. The box and styrofoam were perfectly in tact but the corner of the item was split open (like in other reviews of this item) .
This thing is pretty heavy, and I struggled to get it open and out of the box by myself. I was hoping to get it assembled and set up in my home before my husband arrived home . this did not happen / I spent the next 30 mins talking to customer service to exchange it Ill update once I do .
UPDATE the exchange process was as easy as could be expected / no label needed but I did have to wrangle the heavy thing back into the box.
The replacement still had a little damage but this time is was on the corner facing the wall (second picture) and I was happy enough with everything else (color / size / height ) that I didnt want to risk another super broken one exchanging.
The item is very sturdy and fairly easy to put together. Its heavy for what it is and is seriously perfect in the space we had purchased it for.
5 stars for the item / 3 stars for it arriving broken and then still broken .
