I must say that assembling it wasnt as hard as many reviewers made it seem. I followed along with a YouTube video and did most of it myself. I dont have a handy husband/boyfriend and managed to get through alright. There were holes in the bottom board but luckily its out of sight so I didnt stress it too much. Overall I really love the TV stand, its so beautiful at night and it goes perfectly with the theme of my room. Please be careful with the pieces, they scar easily. I didnt need any drills and it took me about an hour to assemble by myself.
