I didnt get this chair to rock a baby, though I do have a new infant granddaughter who will probably enjoy it. I got this chair because I wanted a small swivel rocker that was comfortable and fit my petite size. Those mammoth sectionals and deep leather recliners that all the shops stock just swallow me up, stressing my back into unnatural positions and discomfort. This chair met my needs so well that after I got the first for my study, I ordered another for my living room.
It is attractive; the fabric is soft; it moves smoothly, and you can turn all the way around without hitting anything on the table next to you, which is helpful as my study has a fireplace at the far end, so I can face it or the view outside.
My only challenge was how heavy and bulky it was to try to move once I got it out of the box. The metal swivel/glider mechanism on the bottom prevented easy pushing. I solved this by sliding the flattened packing box under and used it to easily maneuver the chair. For the second chair, I moved the box to the intended location before unpacking and that worked perfectly.
Now Im thinking maybe I would like a third one for a guest...
So nice I bought TWO
