I have a standing desk, but am recovering from an illness and need to sit during the day. I bought this chair for my office. I sit in it on and off throughout my day while in meetings. It is perfectly acceptable but I would not consider it for anywhere in my home where someone would need to sit in it for a longer period of time. The padding is cheap and you can feel the wood through it and the cushion compresses a lot. The material isnt furniture grade so it wouldnt last long with constant use. BUT if you are looking for a chair to sit in for short periods of time and dont want to break the bank, this chair might work for you. Im perfectly happy with it for what Im using it for. I could easily use it by a door to sit in to put shoes on.
