This item costs half of what comparable items cost at the pet store - so if youre expecting the exact same quality, youll be disappointed. However, for the money, its a great deal. It was super easy to assemble, and instructions are included. Once everything was tightened fully, its completely sturdy. It might be smaller than some people are expecting, but the stated dimensions are accurate, so check them before you buy. The upper platform is just large enough for my 11lb cat to turn around and settle herself on, but if she were any bigger it would be too small. I think this is intended for kittens or smaller cats, really. The small saddle between the scratching posts has a decent (not luxurious) amount of padding on it, but the upper platform has NONE - its just the carpety material over plywood underneath. I put a small piece of fuzzy blanket on the platform for cushion, and my cat was happy. Surprisingly, my cat doesnt use the scratching posts, so I cant comment on their longevity. Overall, Im very satisfied with this purchase.
