I bought one set of these chairs to make sure they matched my dining table before ordering the more that I needed.
First I will review the price: when I ordered the first set the price was very reasonable at $243 for a set of 2 chairs. Two days after I ordered the first set, the price skyrocketed on to around $330 per set. I called explaining the situation but they wouldnt budge on matching the price I had just paid days before. I ended up finding the exact same chairs on another website for $190 per set! They are sold under a different name (GDF), but the actual manufacturer on the box and the bottom of the chair tag is exactly the same. Update: I see has now lowered the price from $330 to $270 - still much higher than I found them elsewhere.
Now I will review the chair:
The chairs are very pretty if you like rustic chic. The colors are pretty true as pictured. I have had no trouble with them tipping over as a few others have stated. I even tried to tip them over and they didnt. The first box I received- the inner wood piece that connects to the legs of the chair was glued at the manufacturer upside down, making it impossible for the legs to attach because the holes would not line up. Ive seen other reviewers say their legs wouldnt fit, well this is exactly why. sent out a replacement immediately and the issue was resolved with the second box. The chairs have a very strong chemical smell to them straight out of the box. I had to let mine air out for about 7 days before I could have them in my main living area without smelling up the whole room. After they aired out the smell did not come back. They are comfortable, although I can imagine the seat cushion losing its firmness after a few years of use. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend them, as long as you shop around on the price!
