This is the first piece of furniture I have gotten in years that was actually completely assembled! Which made my husband so happy! Even when I buy big furniture at a physical store, the delivery guys assemble it after they get here. So this was a refreshing change. My old dining chairs are solid wood. Since my husband and I have back issues, it becomes difficult to sit at the table for long periods of time, like we do when we have our neighbors over and everyone starts talking. These chairs have built in cushions on the seat and back, and they are comfortable, both for your bottom and your back. My cat cant knock off the cushion or shred the ties, as she can with a removable seat cushion, and its always nice to outsmart the cat, not an easy thing to do. The chair looks very elegant, with a distressed wood look to the frame.
