We went from a convertible crib to this. My kiddo loves it! The loft bed took about 4hrs or so to put together by two (sick) adults. The instructions were easy enough to manage, and once completed, the bed is pretty sturdy.
It has a 400lb capacity, so its nice being able to go up there with her if I want. We purchased a cheap twin bed from (6) and it fits well maybe a teeeny bit small.
