this crib is classy and sturdy and my toddler loves it

Baby's room will be ready soon, so it's time for a new bed for our 2-year-old. I chose this model based on price, style, color and brand. The other night I disassembled the crib and assembled this bed. Working by myself, it took me 60-90 minutes to put this toddler bed together. The instructions were clear and all the pieces included. Our crib is from Pottery Barn and, to give you a reference, it took my husband 4-5 trips to take the crib pieces to the basement whereas he carried the toddler bed box up the stairs in one load and probably could have held our toddler at the same time. The Pottery Barn crib also cost 10x what this toddler bed costs. Bottom line is that if you want Pottery Barn quality, then go pay their prices. With that said, this crib is classy and sturdy and my toddler loves it. The only thing I would change is the construction of the rods that connect the headboard and the footboard. Each side has two pieces that connect in the middle, instead of one solid piece from end to end. While there is a supporting leg and plenty of hardware in the middle to connect the two rods, this is also the place where my son puts his weight to climb into bed and it is the only support point whose integrity I question. But a solid piece on each side would require a larger box, so add shipping expenses and construction expenses and you've pushed this toddler bed out of its price point. I get it. Based on my expectations with regard to price, style, color and brand, this product earned 5 stars. Sweet dreams!
