Very cool bed. A huge pain in the butt to assemble Tip.
FYI: I did not purchase this from , but from through another competing website at a lower price.
I purchased the Full size. It is a great bed, and works as advertised once you fully assemble it, and carefully so. It is not as difficult to close as others' have said, at least mine. However, I do have a few complaints.
1) Some parts came a little bent and I had to hammer them back into square so that the pieces fit together. Specifically, one end of Part E was particularly troublesome to reform.
2) They give you just enough parts. Which is okay I suppose. But if any screw or nut was lost or out of whack, or something breaks in the future, you're on your way to the hardware store hoping to find something compatible. The included hex key and wrench could have been better but worked fine.
3) Assembly in general is a pain. Starting from the (two) unopened separate packages, it took me about three and a half hours to fully assemble by myself. One of the most tedious furniture-in-a-box items I have done myself. Yes, one or two parts will be MUCH easier with two people, particularly towards the end, attaching the upper mattress base to the gas hinges.
For 3) Here is a tip if you are doing it yourself. Put something heavy on the headboard side of the piece when attaching it. I used a big iron pipe wrench. The leverage will make it much easier to line up the screw holes.
If put together correctly (I mixed up some 1 and 2 screws but they seem mostly interchangeable), it comes out pretty solid. I very much like the final product despite the assembly quirks, and will update this review in the future after some use.
