This bed is an absolute winner. I was VERY hesitant to purchase this, as I obviously wasn't able to see one in-person, but it's definitely a gamble that was 100% worthwhile. I heard enough nightmares about others who purchased beds from IKEA and other places that were particle board, and not high quality, a nightmare to put together, etc., and I didn't want to have to go through that. This bed is sturdy, comes with ALL the hardware you need, and the storage underneath is a dream for someone like me who lives in an apartment with roommates, and doesn't have a ton of extra space to spare.
The headboard and footboard are a really nice faux leather, and the gas lift mechanism is really easy to lift once you put a mattress on it—if anything, you have to be careful when pulling it back down because the gravity from the mattress slams it down pretty fast, so just be wary of that.
I'd say the only downside is if you want to move this to a different area in your room, you've got to be careful not to push or pull too hard on the bottom section, because while it is sturdy, it's not meant to be handled there or have excessive weight put in those specific areas.
All in all, I'm over the moon about my purchase, and will update in case there's any issues that may arise. But so far, it's very stylish, and does everything it was designed to do. Even the delivery came crazy early! They said between 1-5, and instead it was like 9AM in the morning (they called to let me know, of course, but it was a surprise nonetheless).
