Comfortable and plush headboard, sturdy base, solvable assembly issues.
I love this headboard. There is foam in it so it is comfortable yet firm/sturdy to lean on when sitting up. Its not overly plush, I still like to have pillows between me and the headboard when sitting up, but it is comfortable to lean on. I did not use a box spring, just a mattress.
I haven't had any problems with it breaking or not supporting weight. I have it in my college apartment and my boyfriend will lay on it with me when he visits and my friends sit on it with me (around 330-360 pounds with the two of us and the mattress). I have been using it for about 7 months problem free.
It was difficult assembling it, I remember previous reviews mentioning this as well, but I was able to force pieces to line up or turn flip pieces to fix it. It just took a bit longer and had to redo some parts in different orders.
