Its very comfortable but please dont trust the taller people saying it works for them. Im 510 and when reclined, the edge of the footrest is mid calf. This recliner is also not one where you can pop up the foot rest and sit upright. This is important to some. You either sit without the footrest or you recline and youre laying down. It does lay flat BUT be careful, it will flip backwards. The arm rests are really low so if you like to sit using arm rests this isnt for you.
The seat cushion is firm but comfortable. It seems sturdy too. Ended up shopping for a bigger person friendly chair but will keep this one for a future basement theater setup.
