Bought this for my mother who has problems with her back and standing easily. Setup directions were clear, and went fast and easy. This is not a complicated thing to assemble. Just follow the directions. The only tool that you may want is a small adjustable wrench to help with tightening the bolts and wing nuts for the back feet. Once all cables are routed and plugged in, its good to go. You may want to use a few zip ties to help keep the cables/wires tidy. Chair raises and lowers at a good speed. Up down buttons are simple. Total raise up height is more than adequate for my mom who is 58. Much taller people would do well with this. It raises her up so she is literally standing up. No more pain in trying to stand up! Massage and heat functions work off of a separate remote. Controls arent too hard to understand. 5 minutes of experimenting, and youll have it mastered. Reports from mom are that the heat and massage functions work great. Shes used it everyday for more than two weeks, and no issues. She says its really comfortable and really enjoys the recline functions too. Will update this if anything catastrophic happens. My take: Its a nice, comfortable lift chair with excellent functions, and assembles very easily.
