Its not difficult to put together its just a lot of steps
But I think its worth the extra time and effort because the bed is very sturdy and well made. Took us 5 hours to put it together. It wasnt difficult. Just very intricately engineered. The pistons that hold the bed up are super strong. And the storage is not on the ground. It is in its own enclosed box under the bed. I was worried about my cats getting in it under there. Theres no way they can even if they can fit their head under it lol. The grey fabric is nicely soft and is that easily cleaned microfiber. Holds 20 bolts of fabric under the bed no problem, would probably hold a closet worth of clothes under there or all your s. The support ribs are springy and support the mattress without a box spring very nicely.
