I dont usually start a review with the Cons, but edited this review because the freezing of the lift mechanism has become persistent and dangerous. Next, I must contact Customer Service to discuss repair, per the warranty claim instructions for .
Cons / The lift mechanism frequently freezes in the lifted position and has begun to freeze when the legs alone are lifted as well. When this happens, its necessary to disconnect and reconnect the power, or it will not budge. The freezing is dangerous if the chair is for someone who isnt capable of safely exiting the chair while the foot rest is frozen in the raised position. Climbing out is a dangerous option.
Pros / High quality exterior material. Im pleased to see it in my family room. The lift mechanism is truly silent and mostly smooth. Its primary occupant says it is still comfortable, and they nap in it regularly.
Also, the length and height of leg support are questionable for a tall person with a medical need for legs to be elevated above the heart. Perhaps for someone with a long torso and short legs, but its too short for the long legs in our home.
