It was super easy to assemble. It was easier for me to lay everything out in place before assembling because I am not that handy. The bed is a nice solid wood. I love that the slats are velcroed to the frame and there are two non slip strips for the mattress. I ordered for my 17 yr old son and he loved it. It gives him plenty of room to toss, turn, stretch out.
