We were pleasantly surprised to see how nice this chair is. We bought it as an extra bed for visiting relatives and it was perfect for our college age niece. It came out of the box fully assembled and the fabric looks awesome. Its more taupe than off white. It lays completely flat and then goes back to either a chair, ottoman, or lounge. Definitely a fantastic purchase!
