So I originally had scheduled to return this item. Due to the smell. I ordered the white. I called the manufacturer and explained the smell. She advised me theyve had calls like this and to use windex with vinegar NO ammonia. That would ruin the paint. I decided to mix my Meyers Lemon scent with vinegar and water instead. It has subsided. My advice because this bunk is perfect height. Very sturdy. And very affordable. When you open box leave the pieces out in garage or outdoors if you can to air out before putting together. I put together the day it arrived. So I have wiped all of it down with my mixed solution and also have a fan in the bedroom with windows open to help it air out as quickly as possible. I would definitely recommend. Just air it out first. Assembly took two of us at certain points but not the whole time. And I would say around 2 hours to put together. We had no issues putting together.
This bunk I would buy again. Its the best Ive found for the price and quality. All the big names are more than half of this price.
