All the pieces are numbered.. there is basically one way to correctly put the bed together and when you have pieces incorrect， the rest cant be put together so you learn quickly. Its very good quality wood... very sturdy and love!!how it looks! Wish there was a video on how to put together.. since reading directions is not my strength.. but it took a few hours and myself and 6 year old got it together!
