My young teen daughter LOVES this bed! Fits her regular mattress. Seems sturdy, however my daughter is slim and petite. Shelves came with some minor damage, but fortunately doesnt show. Only option to replace was to send the entire bed back, and that was def not going to happen, so were just dealing with it. Not quite as tall as a regular loft, which leaves more headspace.
