Could not be easier to assemble, just hand twist in the legs and then the footers, one screw for the drawer knob, few mins and done. 27 tall is accurate from other reviews, I wanted it for the end of my couch since my coffee table area is a play pen for a baby, I need a table for drinks and such. it sits an inch or two higher than the arm of the couch. I have chocolate brown couch and the table matches the color.
