My husband was able to assemble this by himself in about an hour/hour and a half. It wobbles a tiny bit (I get up there with her) but it is a loft bed, they are naturally top heavy, this one is great at this price point. I am not concerned about the safety of it. My daughter is thrilled with it, she put her Barbie dream house underneath but someday it will be a desk. She loves that the ladder can be moved depending on what she is playing/doing in her room.
