Not too big so it fits well in our entry way without being too wide like so many benches are. Description claims it hold several hundred pounds/ and we have found it easily supports a 250 pound person. It really helps with folks being able to take off their shoes fairly quickly when they enter our home so that debris etc is not tracked through the house.
