Excellent post construction, however the canvas top had a cut in it and I had to re pack it for return ( be carefull to open carefully in the event you have to exchange it.)
Although took excellent care to accommodate me, it is a big and heavy item to repack and prep for return.
I did complete the exchange, and have been using the new one ( with the off set Patio umbrella base, I also purchased through )
Without considering the exchange hassell, the product construction coupled with the base is perfect for our needs.
It handles wind/rain nicely, however we do not leave it up during our Florida storms, as we dont want to risk any breakage.our main purpose for use is sun protection.but weve also had occasion for it to be up when rain showers have passed through.
Note: since I had to return the original order I elected to select a different color ( black) as the Khaki color was not what I expected Khaki to be ( ie: to me it had a beigish red tone)
