First thing I noticed was that this basket is all metal construction and solid components. I dont anticipate any issues with it. It took about 10 minutes to put together with the included hex wrench. It works great and has fairly solid chains for this price range. I have absolutely no complaints with its functioning. Im very happy with this product and would recommend.
In terms of it being portable, personally Ive just been picking up the entire unit and carrying it down into my yard. Its not too heavy for that. If you wanted to transport it in a vehicle, youd likely need to disconnect the bottom and top halves using the hex wrench (unless you have a truck/van). Not a big deal, but it would require a little effort.
