Great Value, Chains Matter / Doesnt catch as well as the 130/150 options
Great value in this basket, probably performs just as well as the other Lite competitors at the best price point. Perfect for an entry level first basket. However, having owned the Chainstar lite for a couple years now and having used the Black Hole pro and Pro, its definite step down. You can usually find deals on those around the 130 price point, and the upgrade in chain weight makes a major difference.
Durability / The looks great out of the box, but definitely does not seem like it will hold up if left outside, paint taking scuffs and scrapes easily after 20/30 putts. My Chainstar Lite has sat outside for 2 years with minimal rust and only minor fading on the paint, I dont think the will hold up to that abuse, will need to be stored inside whenever possible.
Catching / A spit out machine, but this is my first practice basket at this price point with the lighter chains. Catches flat putts with tacky plastic great, but premium plastic with any angle slides right through the chains with frightening consistency. Also hard putts at the pole frequently get sent right back out.
While its not the basket for me, Id rather upgrade for better chains / catching and durability, its not pretending to be anything it isnt. Its a great value, easy to assemble, portable, good looking basket.
