Cute, but not . More of a bronze/copper color. Mines is pretty sturdy. I weight 200lbs, the bed endures adult activities. I bought a memory foam mattress. I put the cardboard from the box underneath the mattress so it doesnt seep through. Otherwise no need for box spring.
