    Not American Proportions, Small

Im 56, and the back of the couch reaches the bottom of my shoulder blades. The chaise part of the couch is about 3 shorter than where my feet, with my heels cupping the edge of the couch and overhanging it. I couldnt get one of the leg bolts in all the way, and I was lucky that there were 2 extra holes into the foot of 1 leg, so I added 2 extra screws. If I had paid full price for the couch, I would have felt cheated, due to the small proportions of the couch. But because the seller is changing the color name of the couch I bought from purple to plum on the newer manufactures, I saved about 800 on the same couch. So it was worth the 400 some dollars I paid for it. Also, like the other reviewer mentioned, the leg edges are super sharp; if you run a foot into the edges of the leg you will probably cut youself! On the plus side, the performance velvet upholstery is great for pet owners; its easy to vacuum. The material feels nice on bare skin. I also find the couch agreeable to nap on. I like the length of the couch too. However, the seat depth is shallow, so you need an ottoman. As I mentioned, Im 56, so the couch is a perfect fit for a lady; a larger person would probably not have enough space, and overweight people would also have trouble.
