My son loves this bed. It took about an hour to set up with the instructions on my own (Im a very handy mom). My only concern is that the metal is all very lightweight and is welded together in a shoddy way (which I should expect given the amazingly low price of the bed). I wonder how long it will last. Many of the pieces had bent parts which I had to hammer and twist to straighten out. I ended up calling the company and asking them to send a new replacement ladder as the one that was delivered was so bent that the welded edges of the rungs didnt even connect to the base (it would have been a safety hazard as the rungs were not secure). They sent me a replacement ladder part very quickly and at no extra cost. I was really happy about that. My son is 6 years old and 47 pounds. He will most likely be able to use this bed for another year or two max. Overall, I would say that its fun (he has no complaints) and a good value for the price.
