Its exactly what we had envisioned for our growing boy! We have the twin with an 8 in mattress and its perfect! We are able to keep our guard rail up but its way more comfortable than the toddler bed and he feels so big with his bed! Very sturdy and I love the vintage charm / very versatile! Easy to put together! Overall highly recommend and will be buying another one for our other little guy when the time comes!
