This bed arrived today in 3 very large boxes. One for the headboard, one with the footboard and one with the side rails and matress supports. The footboard was one piece but everything else required assembly. It took me about 2 hours total. Now I understand the debate in other reviews about the color. It is not a pure white like the color of paper, but its not ivory either. Its like an antique white. My son has a pottery barn white bed and its the same color as that. The bed really is beautiful. Nicer than I expected for the price. Looks just like the photo. My only complaint is with the boxspring and mattress on the frame the footboard doesnt come up any higher than the boxspring.
