At first I wasn't sure what to expect because when I took the pieces out of the box, it looked more like plastic than wood. Now that it is assembled, it looks really nice and sturdy. My biggest gripe is that this took more than 4 hours to assemble and it was extremely difficult to piece together. The instructions were difficult to read and had I known the skill set required and time it would have preferred to hire someone to assemble on my behalf. Also - the package was terribly heavy and wonder if it could have benefited to have come partly assembled such as the top piece in one box and the trunk part shipped in a separate box.
it's a nice unit but a PAIN to install
