Attach The Back To Get Rid Of Any Wobble

This came in a very big, very heavy box. It needs at least two to carry it, or a very strong person with a hand truck. Or you can cut it open where the delivery person put it, and carry each piece to where you want to assemble it. Even the two long pieces can easily be carried by a person of average strength. First, however, you must get the pieces out of the much nicer looking second box inside the outer box. I had to use a knife to cut both boxes open, and used a hack saw to cut apart the outer box when I threw it out. The inner box is a good enough mailing box, too, so anyone who thinks they might be sending the back, might want to carefully open a flap, and see if they can pull the pieces out that way. I just cut the center wide open, because I had no intention of sending it back. There is also lots of styrofoam in the boxes, the type that can easily crumble and leave little staticy pieces on everything. Remember that when you choose where to open the boxes. All the wood pieces of the were there and in fine shape, plus all the hardware was there, including one extra of each piece in a spare bag. All pieces and hardware were clearly marked, too. Putting the together turned out to be quiet easy, using the enclosed instruction book, which was mostly pictures. (All you need is a flathead screwdriver and a 2 Philips screwdriver.) The only problem I had assembling it was putting the top piece on, since all the cam pins and wood dowel had to fit into all the holes of the two sides and center piece. If I had to do it again, I think I would try attaching the top while the was still on its side, instead of ing it up, as instructed. After the top was on, I noticed the wobbled a bit. Not good if you are thinking of putting a big on it. Another reviewer on another product page for these s said when you put the thin back piece on, the wobbling would stop. That made no sense to me, but I attached the back piece, at first just putting in the top row of screws. The still wobbled. Next I put in the two corner bottom screws on each side of the . Wobble gone! So, make sure you attach the back with the cord holes, even if you didnt plan to do so, and wanted to leave the back wide open. (There is also a two/piece support under the center of the bottom panel.) The rustic oak color I got looks very nice. If you want another color, though, there is at least one other product page with more colors here at . (I would put a link, but there is no longer a link button to do so in reviews, only in comments. At least I dont have one.) Oh, almost forgot, the shelves were easy to place in the , too, and provide lots of space for more electronic equipment.
