If you are expecting a solid wood piece of furniture with hand crafted designs than this is NOT for you. If you are looking for a 109 entertainment center that is relatively sturdy and looks great than youve found a winner! For the listed price I was very pleased with the quality.
The directions were very clear and even had an illustration that showed which way to turn the screw driver to tighten screws. All the pieces came undamaged and there were even extra screws included. It includes safety fasteners that can be installed to prevent it from tipping over. One person can put it together without any help with ease, with the exception of putting the doors on. I took one star off because it was really hard to get the doors to line up right and we finally just left them. The doors open and close flush but the bottom corner rub. You would be better off trying to line them up yourself instead of using their guide holes.
The styrofoam worked wonderful at keeping it safe and undamaged, but broke up into small pieces and worked its way into the pre/drilled holes. Youll need to vacuum out the debris so everything fits tightly. It does leave quite a bit of mess at the assembly site.
The wood is made with a press board type material with a veneer type substance on top. I wouldnt trust it to hold drinks without coasters, but it looks great. The glass doors are made of tempered glass and are great since you can use remotes through it while keeping you devices dust free. There are 2 shelves that create 4 compartments for cable boxes, DVD player, video games etc. Each of the compartments have a hole large enough for multiple plugs making hooking everything up a breeze.
Its a great piece of furniture. For the price the quality exceeds my expectations. I would recommend it!
