I'm glad I didnt listen to some of the bad reviews. This is just what I needed for my mud room. It's a great size and has enough room for our coats and shoes. Sure, you wont be storing boots in the cubbies. I use 1 cubby for 1 shoe, for a comfortable fit.... even if you do that, you'll still be able to store 12 pairs of shoes.
Assembly was not bad and only took a few hours. Make sure to have some standby assistance to help stand it up. The materials are sturdier than I originally thought. Both me and my wife can sit on the bench at the same time ( that's about 350 lbs) without feeling like the bench would break. If you follow the instructions, you'll have a fairly sturdy product.
Having a cubby built would've cost me 1k - 1.5k, so at 300 dollars I'm happy. I have no complaints after 6 months of ownership and I dont anticipate any complaints in the future. This is definitely a good buy in my opinion.
