This bedframe comes unassembled. You bolt nut attach the center-folding side (long) bars to the headboard (which has slots to bolt on your own headboard). Next bolt nut attach the footboad. Next is the bolt on center. Last is the slats which slip into holders. Once assembled, the frame still can bend at the center which makes it great for maneuvering corners. It comes with extra bolts, an allen wrench and crescent wrench for assembly. The instructions were clear and all parts were clearly labeled. Assembly best done by 2. I chose this frame because it says it can support 3500 pounds. The last bedframe I had bought (Lucid) was fully metal but my active bouncing on it broke it (I weigh only 150 lbs!).
This bedframe doesnt even squeak, yet. Looking forward to a long service life from it.
