My husband and I upgraded to a king size bed after the arrival of our third child. We were on a budget, but let's face it, 3 kids 5 and under and our bed is ground zero most nights.
We decided on this bed because it doesn't need a box spring but it does have a headboard attached - something I felt I needed as I sit in bed nursing (many times a night)
The bed looks great. Better than anticipated. The faux leather is sturdy and is a very very dark brown/nearly black.
Despite the fact that my husband is a mechanical engineer he has a terrible time building things and is very slow with it. He assembled this solo in a little over 30 minutes.
There are sufficient slats that you don't need to get extra. The mattress we got (a dense memory foam one) is very secure.
I was hesitant to order this bed frame because of the price but I am extremely happy I did!
