First thing’s first, this bed is beautiful and it was easy to assemble, although the hex screws that came with it and leave a lot to be desired since they get stripped after only about 3 slips.
The bed is sturdy, in that it doesn’t shake, but I have my misgivings about is ability to support me. I weigh about 135lbs and my mattress is one of those thin tri-folds and weighs barely 20lbs, if so much. After just a few uses I climbed the stairs and plopped myself down on the bed and heard a loud cracking noise. When I climbed back down to survey the damage I saw that the middle support beam had a huge split in it. Now I have to go find some other support solution before this bed drops me in my sleep.
I’d recommend this bed for little kids, if you’re an adult looking to use this as a space hack for a tiny apartment, just keep looking.
