nice looking bed but not the best quality and infuriating to assemble.
I will start by saying I love the design of this loft bed. I searched for months and this was the only on I could find with the features I wanted within my price range. The final product is very nice, my 4 year old loves it. That being said, this was the most infuriating piece of furniture I have ever put together. The are no instructions, just pictures. It doesn't tell you at the beginning that the first few steps for for a right sided set up. Fortunately, my husband figured it out before we got too far ahead. Now, I like to think my husband and I are fairly intelligent individuals, and have put together our fair share of furniture, but we had to redo every step at least once. I looked ahead and I organized everything before we began. Between the lack of instructions, some pieces being mislabeled, or not labeled at all, and the pictures on the directions changing from one photo to the next this process what very challenging. It ended up taking us all day, 11:30am to 10:30 pm (with a couple of meals breaks in there). I will say that having a third person would have been helpful to hold ends together while another person screws everything in. We did end up with a backward footboard since there were no indicator holes and my husband had to use some of his tools to attach the bottom of the stairs to the bed post. It just didn't seem secure enough to us. The wood itself is very soft and dents/cracks very easily. One dowel hole came completely smashed and a corner of the top board of the stairway is cracked off, as well as multiple small cracks and dents. When purchased I was hoping this would last my daughter into her teens but I don't see that happening. So, in the end it seems to be fairly sturdy and looks nice but is definitely not the quality I was hoping for.
