Sturdy and doesnt creak. Dont put the mattress guards on. Will scratch your kid
Bed was relatively easy to assemble. Only complaint is the guards to hold to mattress in place doesnt really work. Instead they are more of a hard and have scratched my toddler on a couple occasions. My recommendation is to not even put the guards on. It doesnt affect the structure of the bed frame at all. I just screwed them off with an Allen wrench and solved that problem and put a toddler bed rail on instead.
