Sturdy, solid, clean and unfinished wood with no nasty chemical smells. Folds and is easy to move. As a renter, I appreciate that feature. I also have to add that the other video review by DAVID, which at the time of my review, 125 people have found helpful-it shouldnt even be here because the bed is clearly not assembled correctly.
