The table itself is nice. Only four stars because of the packing and damage. I am convinced that UPS did not cause the damage but that it was done somewhere upstream. Distributor? Factory? At any rate, UPS probably should not have accepted the shipment because the box was battered and ripped.
I decided to accept it because I couldnt see damage by looking through the tears and rips. After unpacking, I found the drawer bottom almost torn off. Fortunately, I have woodworking equipment and was able to make a nice repair that is stronger than the original. BTW, the drawer is dovetailed. Not something you see often these days. Made in Vietnam.
The color is pretty and the electrical compartment should prove to be useful. The table will reside in a media room where we keep a laptop computer. The upper shelf/cubby hole should work well for that. Note that there is an access hole from that shelf into the electrical compartment for a charging cable. There is a second hole leading out the back of the unit for the master power cord to go to the wall.
There is also a phone cable permanently wired in. (Not many use those anymore.) I am thinking of cutting that off.
The larger front top is 17 1/2 inches deep and does not move. The back, electrical compartment lid is 8 12 inches and flips up, held by a spring-loaded arm. It is 7 inches deep with plenty of room to store items that you might not need frequently. The top is 24 inches wide and it is 25 inches high. Front to back is 26 inches.
The only assembly required was to screw on the four short legs.
Nice unit - Awful packing
