This couch was such an easy process to build. I did build it by myself so it is possible. I'll say just be careful when you try to flip it around. I feel the legs are very sturdy but I could see if you out enough pressure it could possibly (but not likely) to tear.
But I'm 59 and the bed form fits me just right. So anyone over that height may be leaning over the edge but it's a comfortable couch.
It is lower to the ground than I'd imagine..wish it was a little bit higher off the ground but it still a great convertible couch.
Also I'd say this can fit 4 people at a time. But 3 for the most comfort.
