It's not a bright blue it has a little bit of gray in it so it's sort of muted. It's perfect. This would be a great piece if you are staging a home for sale. It's lightweight and inexpensive. I will say when you sit in it, because it's not kiln-dried hardwood for the frame, there is a kind of give. It's not super super solid but it's perfectly fine for the next few years until I can buy my dream sofa. By the way I looked at sofas on Article, West Elm. All Modern, and a couple other sites and I can tell you that this is the best deal you'll find for a stylish budget sofa. The blue velvet sofa I liked at Article.com was over $1200. When I have more money to blow maybe I'll go for that one. But for almost 1/3 of the cost, I got a perfectly fine sofa.
