I used to cut incontinence pads for humans in half. This is messy because absorbent material falls out, which is worse when it's full or urine... yuck! These pads specially made for doggie diapers are the perfect size for my furbaby's belly bands, which he has to wear 24/7 (he's an older rescue that was never housebroken). Overall, these pads are soft, flexible and absorbent, and haven't caused "diaper rash". The small adhesive strip is usually adequate to keep the pad securely in a belly band. Despite my active pup's high-energy playing, the pad has never come loose, even when the band is not as snug as it should be. But it would not be unreasonable for some people to prefer an adhesive strip that is larger than 2 inches wide by 4 inches long. And there are longer pads out there that might be better for larger dogs/greater urine output, but these are perfect for my 7 1/2 pound Yorkie. The only negative I've experienced is that these pads can be a bit pricey if changed 4 to 6 times per day, every day. Still, for my needs, these are the best pads for size, shape and absorbency. I'm hesitant to recommend them only because I'm afraid they'll never be in stock once more people discover them!!
