Weve only had this chair for a day, so I can only comment on the initial look, sturdiness, comfort, and assembly. First, the chair looks great. It will compliment any decor. We ordered the cream colored cushions, and while they are a little darker than we thought theyd be, it is a nice, neutral color. The fabric is nice and heavy, and it appears to be durable. It is a sturdy chair, at least initially. With any assembled piece of furniture that is held together with bolts and screws, you wonder about the long term durability, but this is not an heirloom piece, so well see. Initial comfort is good, not great. The cushions are substantial, but it is an odd feel...comfortable enough, but not a sit in it for hours because its so comfortable feel, but it is easy to get in and out of and doesnt sit too low. It is only an auxiliary seating piece for us, so thats fine. I wouldnt want this as my primary chair. It was packaged well, with only one small blemish/scratch on one of the arms that will color in with a touch up marker. The wood has a nice uniform color. Assembly was a little challenging. It definitely helps to have 2 people as there is a lot of coordinated holding and lining up while trying to get the assembly bolts started. I would recommend your own Allen wrench and Phillips head screwdriver as the little tool provided is pretty basic. The instructions arent the best, but they suffice. The recommendation of only tightening the bolts to 80% until the pieces are all together helps lining up the final seat placement. Just be patient if the bolts dont seat right away, adjust a little and keep trying...youll feel them catch. The two wood screws were tough to get fully seated. Be careful not to strip the head of the screw by getting frustrated. I used my cordless drill to drill a pilot for the more stubborn of the two and it helped a little. At the end, the final tightening went well. I just went to each bolt and tightened a little bit more until they were all nice and tight. All in all, we are happy with the piece and hope the sturdiness and look hold up.
