This bed frame is STURDY. It was a bit difficult to put together trying to get the last couple pieces to fit in, but it got there! Rating four stars because there is no lip where the mattress and box spring go to keep them from shifting around. When the dog or our child jumps onto the bed, the mattress slides a few inches off the frame.
