I like how the lights look when its night time its very cool. My one year old daughter loves to look at them as well but she also likes to climb and try to touch the lights. We ended up using it as an tv stand for our 65 and so with that we try keeping her from off it but even with touching and climbing over everything not once did it creek, wobble, budge or anything
