My spouse and I purchased these sheets after getting married and getting a king size bed almost a year ago. The elastic straps are a definite necessity as our mattress is super deep so that is appreciated. However, I like to sleep on the cooler end of the spectrum and these sheets do NOT aid in that. I wake up uncomfortable out of my REM cycle and have to rip off my comforter because Im sweating and the sheets holding the moisture doesnt help to conduct cooler air either! If youre a dead sleeper and dont move around in your sleep, youll also find any part of your body thats not clothed sticking to the sheet! If youre a sensitive sleeper and naturally run cold, and also keep your home on colder temps during the night (such as 69 or 70 deg), then I would rethink this purchase. The other reviews are true about how they hold the color after washing and that theyre soft. But I would prefer they lose their coloring rather than getting me overly toasty in the middle of sleeping. My husband runs warms constantly and despite him having his own cover on his side of the bed, HE DOESNT USE IT! Guess he doesnt need it with the bed sheets conserving all that heat. Im only giving this review because Im back on looking distinctly for sheets that specialize in cooling you throughout the night.
